Target Corporation has a security flaw on its web page, after a test by a computer forensic investigator.
Mark Lanterman owns Computer Forensic Services. He tested Target's web page and tells 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS, "Target, in my opinion, has a security flaw that is a major issue and should be addressed."
Lanterman was able to grab username and password information off the network connected to Target's web site. Lanterman says, "Any bad guy could snatch that type of information and use it to charge things under someone else's name on the Target web page, or take that information and use it fraudulently on other websites."
This security test failure comes at a time when Target officials are facing tough questions in front of Congress for its recent security breach that affected millions of customers. We tried reaching Target for a comment but have not been able to connect with the company for a response.
