With construction finally over, St. Paul is welcoming its latest luxury downtown apartments.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place Thursday for the Penfield Project. The $62 million project covers an entire city block of East 10th Street near Robert Street North. Construction began on the Penfield back in July 2012 and wrapped up this past December.
The 254-apartment unit building also includes a Lunds grocery store. Rent rages from $1,000 for a small studio to $2,500 for a three-bedroom.
St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman, Council Member Dave Thune, Lunds General Manager Mike MacRae, and Village Green Chief Operating Officer Diane Batayeh will be in attendance at the ceremony.
