New technology is making it easier than ever for parents to keep track of their kids using “smart” devices.
Mark Giga of AT&T joined KSTP.com's Cory Kampschroer to feature two new location devices specifically designed for kids: the Amber Alert GPS device and the FiLIP smartwatch.
Kids can contact their parents with a simple push of a button on a small, key-chain-like device. The Amber Alert GPS device can also let parents know when their child has moved to somewhere they haven’t pre-designated as one of 20 programmable “Safety Zones.” Pushing the button alerts parents by calling their phone or sending an email.
A brightly colored watch is another option for parents trying to keep track of their kids. The FiLIP smartwatch can receive text messages and calls from parents and contains a locator.
