A popular winter tradition is happening throughout February.
The 'art shanties' are back on White Bear Lake. Twenty of them are set up and they're all unique. One is modeled after an elevator, while another looks like a musical instrument.
Organizers say the turnout has been great, even with the frigid weather. "It's Minnesota- who wants to be inside? It's beautiful to be outside and the idea of the temporary landscape coming out on a frozen lake. It's a blast," said David Pitman with the Art Shanty Project.
This is the 8th year for the shanties. Visitors can check them out every weekend in February.
