The debate over how to build the Southwest Light Rail Transit line will be a hot topic again on Thursday.

A committee meeting will discuss the best way to move forward on the line, which would go from downtown Minneapolis to Eden Prairie.

Last month, the Met Council decided there are two best options: a shallow tunnel through the Kenilworth Corridor in Minneapolis or a reroute onto freight rail through St. Louis Park.

Many aren’t happy with either option.

The Southwest Light Rail Transit Corridor Management Committee meeting takes place at 3:15 p.m. Thursday at St. Louis Park City Hall.
