Every year since 2007 the Blake and Breck girls hockey teams have met in a playoff game where one or the other is eliminated.  The 2014 edition of this winner-take-all rivalry didn't disappoint.

The 5A Final at Parade Ice Garden in Minneapolis featured back-and-forth play, a star player's 45th goal of the season, heroic goaltending in both nets, and a two-goal performance - including the eventual game winner - from a player who had scored just once all season leading into the game.

In 2006 Farmington eliminated both Blake and Breck from the postseason, but every season since either Blake or Breck has sent the other home.

In 2007, the teams met in the State Quarterfinals.  From 2008 to the present, all the meetings have come in Section Finals.

The two teams have won both of the last two State Girls Hockey Championships - with Blake standing as the defending champion.  Breck won in 2012.
