The recent snowfall has led the City of Minneapolis to enact winter parking restrictions.
Winter parking restrictions were put in place because Minneapolis has had so much snow that streets have narrowed, according to the city.
So much snow has accumulated that access for emergency vehicles is restricted, posing a risk to public safety. The city says it wants to ensure that fire trucks and other emergency vehicles can continue to navigate Minneapolis neighborhoods.
Winter parking restrictions went into effect at 8 a.m. Sunday.

There are also additional parking restrictions at Bryant and Grand avenues in Southwest Minneapolis.
The parking restrictions will be in effect until April 1, unless conditions allow the city to lift the ban earlier.
KSTP checked in with St. Paul. City officials say fire crews have been out for the past few days evaluating their side streets. They will have the information Monday morning and will make a decision on parking rules by the middle of the week.
