Although it's still winter, homeowners are getting ideas on spring improvements at the Home and Garden Show at the Minneapolis Convention Center.

Many Minnesotans are looking at improving their homes as the housing market improves. "Last year in 2013 overall the median sale price went up about 12 to 13 percent here in Minneapolis. We think this year it's going to go up, but not as much. I think that we're going to see something in the four, five, six percent which is a healthier rate of growth," said Herb Tousley, UST Director of Real Estate Programs.

The show began Wednesday and runs through Sunday. Tickets are $13 at the door or $4 for kids ages 6 and older.

Cheaper tickets are available if you order online.
