The basketball regular season is over and the intensity of postseason play begins. The "win or go home" concept sinks in fast, especially with high school seniors. While the 1 vs 8 and 2 vs 7 matchups are often blowouts, the 3 vs 6 and 4 vs 5 games can be very interesting.
As I've always said, come tournament time, the ball gets bigger and the rims get smaller! Many teams will play tight, afraid not to make mistakes and the lower seed teams are loose as a goose and ready to prove they're more worthy than given credit for.
The emotions and results are wide-ranging from crushing losses and upsets to the utopia of teams getting hot, resulting in tournament victories and great excitement in schools and communities.
