As we all know I am a huge gamer and I enjoy just about anything that has to do with video games.

I am a huge fan of the “HALO” video games and this past weekend I got the opportunity to check out MEGA BLOKS “HALO: Collector Series” construction sets.

I had spent many hours building and constructing vehicles and other “HALO” related scenes from the game.

The sets that I received for review were, “UNSC CYRO BAY,” “Micro-Fleet Mantis Invasion,” Micro-Fleet Warthog Attack,” and “Micro-Fleet Hornet Assault.”

The first sets I started putting together were the “Micro-Fleet” sets.  These are awesome in so many ways.  They come packaged with a bonus figure and they also have a very durable plastic case that you can store all of the pieces in that looks like a helmet from the game.  Each set has a different color of helmet and that is really cool.

The back of the helmet can be used as a base to put and display your creations on.  The people who designed this were really thinking and did a great job.

One thing that I was very impressed with was the directions that came in each set that explained how to construct each scene from the game.

There are many different pieces that come in each set and the instructions are very detailed and make building extremely simple and easy to understand.  Everything is broken down into steps and in each step you are shown what pieces you need, how many of each piece are needed, and how they need to be put together.  The diagrams do a very nice job at showing you with colored dots, how to stack the pieces on top of each other.  I know people are really going to like this and will have absolutely no problems putting the sets together.

As soon as I finished building all of the Micro-Fleet sets, I started on the “UNSC Cyro Bay.”  This was a really cool and very detailed set to put together.  There were 72 pieces and once again they came with a very well explained instruction manual that was easy to follow.  I really liked how detailed this set was.  There was a weapon rack that displayed weapons, plus they Cyro chamber that could easily be opened and closed.

This set also came with a bonus figure that you could place in the Cyro chamber.

Another thing that I really liked about the MEGA BLOKS is that the pieces are very easy to work with.  The pieces snap together nicely and pull apart pretty easily.  I felt that this made building very enjoyable.

The “HALO” sets are awesome and I like I said earlier I spent many hours putting them together.

I know that fans of MEGA BLOKS and “HALO” are really going to enjoy this series a lot.  I know that I did.

MEGA BLOKS “HALO” is recommended for ages 8 and up.
