There was a chaotic scene around the University of Minnesota campus on Tuesday morning.
There were injuries, explosions and even a train derailment - but it was only a test.
Starting at 9 a.m. University of Minnesota Police along with Metro Transit and multiple other public safety agencies practiced how they would work together if the Green Line derailed because of an explosion on board.
The result - 250 volunteer "passengers" with varying degrees of injuries.
"The effort here is to try to get first responders here to come to the scene quickly and develop a unified organization out of many different agencies instead of operating at separate agencies and engage in recovery efforts," said Lt. Erik Swanson, University of Minnesota Police.
