Students and leaders at two-year community colleges from across the state rallied for an event at the State Capitol on Monday which celebrated an effort to get students to commit to completing their education.
The Community College Completion Corps Initiative have held signing days, where students write their names on large banners, which signify their commitment to finish school, while professors, faculty and administrators signed to show their pledge to help them do it.
On Monday, the group gathered at the State Capitol Rotunda for "Complete the Dream."
Group officials said they hope the initiative will show lawmakers that community college students are working to become contributing citizens of Minnesota.
