Maplewood Police are investigating after four pipe bombs were discovered at a number of outdoor locations over the past week.

According to Maplewood Police, the first pipe bomb was found March 26 at Four Seasons Park near Demont Avenue and Flandrau Street. The second was spotted Saturday about 30 feet from the first.

Two more were found Monday morning near the 1600 block of County Road C.

Police believe all of the devices are more than likely linked to one suspect, since all had been lit but failed to detonate, according to police. Each pipe bomb was made with plastic piping, an unidentified powder and a wick.

The pipe bombs aren't known to cause extreme damage but they can be harmful, according to police.

Police believe the pipe bombs were not targeting a specific person and were randomly placed.
