Firefighters pulled a man and a woman from the Mississippi River in Minneapolis on Friday after the pair floated under the Camden Avenue Bridge hanging onto a boat.
According to Minneapolis police, the pair had been boating when their powerboat capsized. They were clinging to the boat for a while, but it sunk.
The firefighters swam out to the two, who were not wearing life jackets, and pulled them ashore around 2 p.m.
The man and woman were taken to a hospital for hypothermia, police said. They are thought to be in their mid-30s.
The bridge connects 37th Avenue Northeast in north-central Minneapolis to 42nd Avenue North in northwest Minneapolis.
Police said its early for boaters to be out on the water.
