Part of the Crosstown that was closed for the weekend has reopened ahead of schedule.

The stretch between Highway 100 and 35W was supposed to reopen Monday morning at 5 a.m., but crews finished tearing decking off the Xerxes Avenue Bridge early. The stretch of roadway reopened Sunday.

Another closure will take place along the same stretch between April 25 and April 28 so MnDOT can install new panels on the bridge.
