Baseball: Cretin-Derham Hall Tops Mounds View in Extras

A go-ahead single by Cole Gnetz in the top of the ninth inning capped off a big comeback for Cretin-Derham Hall Monday afternoon as the Raiders beat Mounds View 5-4. CDH scored the final four runs of the game, including two in the seventh inning to force extras.

Sam Hentges hit a 2-run-homer and Charlie Callahan drove in a pair as Mounds View jumped out to a 4-1 lead after five innings.

CDH chipped away though, scoring one run in the fifth, one in the sixth, and two in the seventh.

Raiders pitcher Rob Rice got the final out as CDH improved to 3-0 this season. Mounds View is now 1-2.

Kellen Rholl started for Mounds View. Eli Wright got the ball for the Raiders.
