An 85-year-old rural Princeton woman is dead after a crash in Isanti County on Wednesday.
According to the Isanti County Sheriff's Office, Eleanor Lindahl was driving a Buick when it began to fishtail and hit the right shoulder. Lindahl overcorrected and went into the westbound traffic lane. She was hit by a westbound Jeep.
Lindahl was pronounced dead at the scene. A 42-year-old Andover woman was driving the Jeep. She suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Witnesses told authorities the woman driving the Jeep didn't have time to react to the Buick in the lane.
Deputies believe road conditions due to wintry weather were a contributing factor in the crash.
The crash is under investigation by the Isanti County Sheriff's Office and the Minnesota State Patrol.
