The Minnesota Vikings are confident season ticket holders will follow the team across town to TCF Bank Stadium next season.
The team said Friday more than 70 percent of season ticket holders have renewed their tickets for the 2014 season, and expects the number to climb above 80 percent moving forward.
Minnesota will play the next two seasons at TCF Bank Stadium on the University of Minnesota campus. The University says the stadium has a capacity of 50,720, but the Vikings will add 2,000 seats.
Last week, the team reported the sale of more than 1,000 new season tickets.
On Wednesday the Vikings' 2014 regular season schedule was released. Minnesota will play its first home game against the New England Patriots on Sept. 14.
The Gophers and Vikings will play at home on the same weekend only one time during the season, Oct. 11-12 when the Gophers host Northwestern and the Vikings play Detroit.
