The Gopher men's baseball team played their first game under the lights at new Siebert Field on Friday night.

Journalist Sid Hartman, who has been a longtime Siebert Field advocate, threw the switch to light the field in a pre-game ceremony.

Siebert Field's recently installed $500,000 lighting system will return night games to the Minnesota Golden Gopher Baseball schedule.

Minnesota beat Penn State 2-1.
