A body was found floating in Lake Como on Sunday afternoon in St. Paul, according to police.
They said a passerby on Lake Como noticed something unusual in the water and called police.
St. Paul police were looking for a man reported missing near Lake Como a few weeks ago. Officers said the person found Sunday is a male.
Other people at the scene said it appeared he'd been in the water for a while. There is a path around lake that's popular for walkers.
A short time after the body had been discovered, 18-year-old high school student Sam Carlson was out taking pictures for graduation along the shoreline and was shocked what he saw in the water through the lens of his camera.
"We were hoping to get pretty photos and got some pretty interesting photos, that's what we got," he said.
The body is currently with the Ramsey County Medical Examiner.
No further details have been released.
