Authorities are investigating after 35 brass poles were stolen from veterans' grave sites in Oronoco in broad daylight.
KSTP sister-station KAAL reports the poles went missing Wednesday around 5:40 p.m. The poles are meant to act as a symbol for those who were in the military.
Olmsted County Sheriff Captain Scott Behrns called it a "despicable act."
Behrns said they have a suspect in mind, but are still investigating.
A similar crime was committed in Goodhue County earlier this month, KAAL reports.
