A Coon Rapids woman died after the car she was riding in drove off the road Friday, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
The state patrol says a 2012 Kia Sedona was traveling south on Highway 47 in Isanti County around 1:54 p.m. when it drifted onto the right shoulder and hit a tree just south of 253rd Avenue.
The front passenger side compartment and door were taken off and the car was turned, the state patrol says.
Doris Tadych, 68, was taken to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale, where she died Friday afternoon, the state patrol says.
The state patrol says 68-year-old Denis Tadych was driving and suffered non-life threatening injuries.
