Authorities are investigating a shooting that wounded a boy in south St. Cloud on Tuesday.

It happened on the 200 block of 33rd Avenue South around 7:30 p.m. Officers were called to the shooting and found the boy, who was shot twice, in the area of 22nd Avenue and Division Street.

The victim was taken to the hospital where he underwent surgery for his injuries. The boy is stable, according to police.

Police say the shooting is not random and there is no danger to the public.

They are asking for the public’s help in identifying a vehicle seen in the area of the shooting. The vehicle is described as an extended or quad-cab pickup truck, with dual rear wheels and tan or gray in color. The truck also has wood-type rails on the back bed area.

Police want to speak to the owner of the vehicle and see if it was involved in the shooting.

Anyone with information should call the St. Cloud Police Department at 320-251-1200.
