It has been a while, since I’ve seen a horror/thriller film about a giant killer animal and I just got the opportunity to watch Mill Creek Entertainment’s “Anaconda” on Blu-ray.

“Anaconda” was released in 1997 and it stars Jennifer Lopez, Ice Cube, Jon Voight and Eric Stoltz.

The last time I had seen it was back in 1997 when it was in theaters. I really enjoyed it then and I haven’t seen it since so it was fun to watch again.

“Anaconda” is a very intense and thrilling movie about a documentary crew looking for a mysterious Indian tribe.  On their journey they rescue a man who is a snake hunter, he is trying to locate and capture a legendary giant Anaconda. They eventually find the Anaconda and now they must try and survive its deadly attacks.

I thought the story was very well written and very entertaining.

“Anaconda” is full of action and intense moments. I really enjoyed not knowing where the snake was going to appear next.

I also thought the special effects looked amazing. The anaconda looked very realistic most of the time, but there were times when it did look pretty fake. However, it is a fun movie to watch.

One scene I thought looked awesome was the scene where the anaconda had just ate one of the characters. There was a shot of the snake swimming in the water and as it swims past the camera you can see the outline of the body of the character that it just ate in the snake’s stomach.

The quality of the video looks great and is crystal clear.

Overall I really enjoyed Mill Creek Entertainment’s “Anaconda” a lot. It was a very fun and thrilling movie to watch.

I would highly recommend that you check out “Anaconda” if you have never seen it before and even if you have, because it looks amazing on Blu-ray.

“Anaconda” is rated “PG-13”
