There are a number of construction projects kicking off this week and many of them will have a major impact on your drive.
Highway 169 Southbound is reopening in Edina. The Minnesota Department of Transportation says the roadway will open from Highway 62 to Valleyview Road early Monday morning.
However, the northbound lanes will close from Interstate 494 to Bren Road through October. The detour takes you along I-494 and Interstate 394.
County Road 61 at Bluff Creek near Chanhassen closes on Monday for eight weeks. During this time, there will be no access to the Highway 101 river crossing between Chaska and Shakopee.
The work is part of the Southwest Reconnection Project.
In Bloomington, the ramps from Interstate 35W northbound to 94th Street close Sunday night. They will remain closed through early September.
