Twins Claim Outfielder Jordan Schafer Off Waivers

The Minnesota Twins claimed outfielder Jordan Schafer off waivers from the Atlanta Braves. Schafer will join the team in Minnesota on Tuesday when they host the San Diego Padres.

Schafer, 27, has hit .163 in 63 games with the Braves this season. He's a lifetime .222 hitter with 88 stolen bases in 395 MLB games.

The Twins will make a corresponding roster move prior to Tuesday’s game vs. San Diego.
