The Minnesota Department of Revenue announced Wednesday more counties hit hard by recent storms and flooding can request state aid payments early.
The counties that qualify are those declared by FEMA as disaster areas, which was only eight counties originally. Just last week, FEMA added 24 counties to the list.
Six counties are still under review including Hennepin, Dakota and Wright.
Minnesota law allows the state to make early payments if a local government is determined to be in a financial hardship due to the disaster.
