Pine City Woman Charged for Setting St. Paul Duplex on Fire

Charges have been filed against a Pine City woman for allegedly setting her boyfriend’s St. Paul home on fire.

Forty-six-year-old Deanna Lee Thielbar is charged with first degree arson for setting the fire July 21.

According to the criminal complaint, Thielbar got into a fight with her boyfriend before allegedly starting two different fires in the home, which is located on the 400 block of Goodrich Avenue.

The home was a duplex and quickly went up in flames.

Two older men living in the upstairs portion of the home were trapped by the flames.

A 16-year-old neighbor helped rescue them.
