A new outlet mall opened in Eagan on Thursday and is expected to bring thousands of shoppers to the southeast metro.

The Twin Cities Premium Outlets has grand opening events happening all weekend.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony took place Thursday morning to kick off the four-day event. The mall will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday to Saturday this week, and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.

Parking has been made available for as many as 3,000 cars, helping the outlet prepare for the influx of shoppers expected.

Construction on the mall started the beginning of June, 2013. The $100 million shopping center is bringing 2,000 new jobs to the area.

There are more than 100 stores.

The shopping center is located near the Highway 13 and 77 interchange in Eagan.
