It use to be that chefs and Betty Crocker were the only ones with cookbooks. Now whoever blogs about food might have a cookbook. Elizabeth is somewhat of an expert when it comes to foodie blogs so it seemed to make sense to have her check out some of the cookbooks.
Beginning with six of the books, she narrowed the field down to her three favorites.
The Smitten Kitchen: Formerly a Technology Reporter, Deb Perelman created her blog right out of her New York City tiny kitchen. She uses minimal equipment in her recipes since she doesn’t have the space. Sections in the cookbook include breakfast, salads, vegetarian main dishes and sweets.
What Katie Ate: Katie Quinn Davies is a Commercial Food and Lifestyle photographer and is a native of Dublin. She began cooking for herself in her early 30’s. Her book is divided by breakfast, lunch, dinner, salads, drinks, sides, and desserts.
Food in Jars: Author Marissa McClelland starting canning on her own at age 26. Aside from what you’ll need to can and the process, there are recipes for jams, jellies, fruit butters, pickles, tomatoes, granola, salads, and more.
