In medieval Europe, the Roman Catholic Church was an incredibly powerful force, and not everyone joined a monastery or convent to be closer to God. In the mini-series adaptation of World Without End, many of the characters in the fictional 14th century town of Kingsbridge have taken vows and entered monastic life. Though they are all supposed to be "men of God," some of the monks have less than holy agendas.

The the first two-hour installment of the mini-series adaptation of Ken Follett's World Without End premieres October 17th. Catch the epic four-part drama on Wednesdays with three chances to watch starting at 8p ET/5p PT.
