After being introduced by UWS junior Hilary Peterson, Vice President Joe Biden waved to the crowd and said, "Hello Superior!"

Along with making a personal shout-out to the principal at the middle school, he said, "I can't imagine how the teachers and principal felt to hear this was happening on Friday afternoon," he chuckled. "So thank you for having me."

He made a couple of references to Hurricane Sandy, and how Republicans and Democrats are working together to rebuild and help the victims.

Then it was on to accomplishments he said that he and Barack Obama are proud of. "There's real progress. There are 4.5 million new jobs. We saved the auto industry. We expanded Medicare. We ended the war in Iraq, and we're ending the war in Afghanistan."

He also made quite a few jokes and digs at Republican Mitt Romney's expense. Biden brought up one of the debates, when he spoke about women's rights.

"He was asked if women should receive equal pay. He started talking about binders. How he has whole binders full of qualified women," he said.

The word malarkey did come out once, when he referenced Romney's stance on being tough on China.

He did defend Romney and his running mate Paul Ryan several times though, saying they're not bad guys.

But he emphasized Obama. "He's my guy, he's your guy. Barack Obama has character."

At the end of the speech, he spoke directly to the crowd. "We need you Wisconsin. We win Wisconsin, we win the election! God bless you all, and may God protect our troops. Go get 'em Superior!"

He then shook some people's hands before leaving with a heavy escort.
