A grandmother who was killed in a drunk driving accident last January was honored in Duluth on Sunday.
Friends and family of the late Paula Bergren gathered at Clyde Iron Works to celebrate Bergren's Minnesota Softball Hall of Fame Award. She was inducted into the Hall of Fame on Saturday in St. Cloud.
She was involved in various Duluth softball initiatives for many decades, including running the Waltman Tessier Memorial Tournament.
Bergren was killed in a drunk driving accident on Woodland Ave. on Jan. 19th, 2012. Bergren was driving with her grandson, Everett Bergren, who suffered serious injuries.
