For some folks, it may be hard to have a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. But some volunteers on the Iron Range are happy to help.
Rev. Marta Maddy of St. James Episcopal Church in Hibbing stopped by Good Morning Northland Tuesday to talk about next week's free community Thanksgiving dinner.
One big change this year, Rev. Maddy said, is the venue. The dinner will now be held at the Assumption School so more people can attend.
Rev. Maddy said that about 900 people were served last year. One reason people keep coming back is the food. Rev. Maddy said that they use locally grown and raised food.
This year's dinner takes place in St. Leo's Hall at the Assumption School in Hibbing on Thanksgiving day. It runs from 11:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. If you would like to help volunteer or would like a ride or a meal delivered, call 218-263-5764, 218-262-5513 and 218-208-7064.
