More than 200 shoe boxes filled with gifts are heading around the globe, after being put together and sent from a school in Duluth Wednesday.

Students from at Lakeview Christian Academy filled the boxes for a program called Operation Christmas Child, run by an organization called Samaritan's Purse. Those boxes get filled with small gifts, school supplies and hygiene items like tooth brushes, toothpaste and soap, and they're shipped to kids in need for the upcoming holiday season.

For more information, or if you'd like to take part in the program, visit the Samaritan's Purse website.
