BEIJING (AP) - Chinese officials and media reports say a deadly fire in a clothing factory in southern China was apparently caused by arson.
They say 14 people were killed in today's fire, which was put out in half an hour.
The Southern Metropolis Daily says the victims were all young women and that an initial police and fire investigation pointed to arson.
Emergency officials say a team has been formed to investigate the cause of the fire and step up safety measures.
The factory makes underwear.
Last month, a fire at a clothing factory in Bangladesh killed 112 people and highlighted dangerous workplace conditions. Workers who survived the fire said exit doors were locked.
