It is more than a letter, it is an honor. Minnesota author Ross Bernstein looks at the captain patch in-depth in his latest book, "Wearing The C."
From Brett Hull to Jamie Langenbrunner, Bernstein talked to many with ties to the Northland who wore "the C" and "the A" in the NHL.
"Your captain has to be your leader and the first guy on the ice at practice and the last guy off of it. If there is drama in the locker room, you are the liason between the coaches office. Coach's know that they have to creat the perfect scenairo where if they want any buy-in on what is done in the locker room, he has to sell it to the captain," says Bernstein.
Bernstein will sign copies of his book on December 22nd from 11 am to 3 pm at the Barnes and Noble in Duluth. Proceeds go to the Herb Brooks Foundation.
