The weekend winter storm brought business back to the Northland. After last year's lack of snow, many shops were excited to be busy, like Duke's Towing in Duluth.
"It's nice to see some snow," Owner Darin Lind said. "It's nice to see winter here. It gets business back to usual."
Lind said his team was busy all day Sunday towing cars and working on repairs.
"Yesterday, we had all our trucks out in full force, running around helping people out," Lind said.
Another business excited to see the white stuff, Denny's Ace Hardware in the Woodland neighborhood.
"Most businesses need it," Manager Dennis Moran said. "When you have a winter like last year, it's hard on everybody."
Moran said many shovels were sold Saturday into Monday morning, along with salt and sleds. Across the street at Denny's Lawn and Garden, snow blower sales were above normal.
