Fans of pop star Katy Perry probably have heard the name of the cat that stopped by Good Morning Northland Thursday.
Anna Sjodin from Animal Allies stopped by with Kitty Purry. Sjodin said that is the perfect name for this cat, since she loves to purr and purr and purr.
Kitty Purry has an interesting back story. Sjodin said she was found in the hood of a car as a stray. As the person was driving to the store, he heard a noise in the car and it was Kitty Purry.
Kitty Purry is at the Superior location. And one gracious donor has paid for the adoption fees of the first 13 black cats that are adopted from the shelter, Sjodin said.
Also, if Animal Allies reaches 1,000 new or renewing members in the month of December, two donor will give the shelter $5,000.
