Before there was "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart," or "The Colbert Report," there was Mark Russell. And the political comedian will be stopping in Duluth for his only Midwest appearance.

Two members from the UMD Theatre Department, Tom Isbell and Mark Harvey stopped by Good Morning Northland Wednesday to talk about the show, which takes place Friday at 7 p.m. at the UMD's Marshall Performing Arts Center.

Not only will this be a rare performance from Russell, who recently came out of retirement. But all the proceeds from the show will go towards UMD theatre scholarships, Harvey said.
