Just days after turning up at a Superior animal Shelter, Endo the Mastiff is taking a long trip south.

On Wednesday morning, Endo hopped into the back of an SUV to start his drive to Cape Coral, Florida. According to Animal Allies, volunteers from Lost Dogs of Minnesota and Mobile Mutts Rescue Transports partnered to find Endo transportation.

Endo’s owners lost him two years ago after he broke out of their fenced yard in Florida. Luckily, Animal Allies was able to track down Endo’s family because of a microchip he has, which contains all of his identification information.

Betsy Bode, a shelter manager at Animal Allies in Superior, said "we did contact that original owner and we're just overwhelmingly amazed that they truly loved him, were missing him and were wanting to get him back home."

After Endo disappeared, Animal Allies said he was cared for by several families which eventually brought him to the Twin Ports.
