A big-name, country singer is coming to the DECC in Duluth in March. Tickets for Jason Aldean's Night Train Tour went on sale Friday morning at 10 a.m.
The line wrapped around into the hallway of the ticket office before the booths opened. Some people showed up as early as 5 a.m., and that sacrifice paid off for many people looking to land a ticket.
"Completely worth it," Macy Meteraud said. "Woke up at 5:45 this morning. It was completely worth it."
Meteraud, and two of her friends, skipped class this morning to wait in line. An experience the group enjoyed.
"We got here at about seven o'clock," Heidi Halladay said. "This is my first time ever waiting in line to buy tickets and it was just so exciting."
Not everyone in line was as lucky. DECC Director of Ticketing Debbie Aleff said they had to turn away about 100 people. She also said tickets sold out in under 30 minutes.
The concert on March 22 will hold 6,300 people.
