With elaborate set designs and colorful costumes, the Duluth Playhouse's Children's Theatre presents its version of a classic book and film.
Evan Ehrhardt plays the White Rabbit in "Alice in Wonderland Jr." He was joined by the play director, Cheryl Skafte on Good Morning Northland Tuesday.
Skafte said they have a cast of 53 wonderful youth ranging from ages 8 to 18. Theater goers will see a taste of the classic Disney version in their production, along with other performances of "Alice in Wonderland," Skafte said. She also said paintings by artist Salvador Dali are a big influence on the design.
"Alice in Wonderland, Jr." opens Thursday at the Duluth Marshall Fregeau Auditorium. It runs Thursday and Friday at 7 p.m. Performances happen on Saturday at 1 and 4 p.m. and on Sunday at 2 p.m.
