A man allegedly stabbed his brother in Eveleth on Friday afternoon, leaving him in critical condition.
Eveleth Police Chief Koivunen said the police department received a call around 2:11 p.m. from St. Louis County Dispatch of a stabbing that occurred at 1001 Shackelton Street. That's in Northside Park, which is on the north side of town.
The St. Louis County Dispatch indicated a male caller was reporting he'd just stabbed his brother.
The victim reportedly left the residence with his girlfriend and another friend who took him to the Virginia Regional Medical Center Emergency Room.
The male suspect said he was still inside the residence and made threats involving a loaded gun. Officers responded to the scene and made a perimeter surrounding the residence.

The male suspect was transported to the Virginia Regional Medical Center Emergency where he was treated for minor injuries.
He was then taken to the Duluth St. Louis County Jail where he was booked, and being held pending formal 1st Degree Assault Charges.
