After almost six years in Duluth's Canal Park, the Harley Davidson store there is closing.
Dennis Kachelmeyer, the owner of the Canal Park store and the main Harley Davidson store in Hermantown, told Eyewitness News Wednesday, that business is great in the summer but getting through the winter months has been too tough.
Kachelmeyer said the store sells souvenirs for tourists, like shot glasses and shirts. He told us that when the tourist traffic drops, so do sales. He said it's "not enough to get the job done."
Meanwhile, Kachelmeyer said traffic at the main store all year long is still "pretty darn good."
The Canal Park store opened around Thanksgiving in 2007, and will close in the middle of February.
