Authorities believe several recent robberies in northwestern Wisconsin are linked, according to the Bayfield County Sheriff's Office.

The robberies and an attempted robbery occurred at gas stations in Solon Springs, Cable, and Washburn County.  On Monday night, female suspects age 17 and 18 and a 16-year-old male suspect were arrested in Sawyer County.  Authorities said the male engaged officers in a short standoff.

Besides the robberies, authorities believe the three also ate at a Hawthorne restaurant and left without paying shortly before the robbery of JT's One Stop in Solon Springs on Saturday night.

Sheriff's offices in four counties are working on the investigation.
