Alleged Assault in Rural Orr

A rural Orr woman is being held in the St. Louis County Jail Thursday morning after allegedly assaulting and threatening family members and setting a fire in her home.

The sheriff's office said they were called out to a home on Willow River Road around 1:30 a.m. Thursday.

Authorities said the woman threatened two other family members with a knife. She also started a small fire in the home.

One person was treated for a small wound, the sheriff's office said.

The woman was taken into custody and is awaiting formal charges in the St. Louis County Jail in Virginia.
