The Sunnyside Car Wash in Cloquet is now open again. And for a good cause.
Owner Kelly Cresap said he wants to donate $1 from every wash, to a memorial fund for a friend's children.
Cresap was friends with Mitch Lingren. Lingren was killed this past fall while on his way to a job site for Carlton County. Another man, Zak Gamache, was also killed.
Lingren and Cresap are part of the Minnowfaces.com group, which is made up of friends who have a passion for fishing.
"He was the first Minnowface that I met. And he made an impression. So I decided I wanted to do something to help," Cresap said.
So he and his wife decided to get their car wash going again. It had been closed for two years.
Also, on Saturday, there's a large fundraiser at the Lumberjack Lounge in Cloquet, from 5-close. Dinner and prizes will be part of the event. Tickets are $25.
The money will go towards a college fund for Lingren's two young children.
You can also donate at www.minnowfaces.com
And there will be a March fishing contest to help the kids too.
