Hundreds will brave the snow and cold to take a dip in Lake Superior, all for a good cause. One of the groups is a local football team.
Josh Miron and Jordan Monson from the Lake Superior Rage are raising money by jumping in Saturday's Polar Bear Plunge in all of their football equipment.
Miron said each player that is participating needs to raise $75 dollars in order to jump on Saturday. Three other players are looking to reach that goal to swim in the icy Lake Superior waters.
To participate in this year's plunge, same day sign-up begins at noon until 3 p.m. The actual Polar Bear Plunge begins at 3 p.m. at Grandma's Sports Garden in Duluth.
