Snowboarders and skiers showed off in Superior Saturday at the Mont Du Lac ski hill. Folks were hitting big jumps for a Slopestyle competition.
It was part of the first annual Du Lac Crew Fest. Competitors from around the region were given three attempts at the course that included jumps, boxes and rails. Winners were awarded cash and other prizes.
Organizers expected a big turnout for the holiday weekend, and are excited for the event's future.
"The goal is to reach out regionally," snowboard coach Pride Jager said. "We want this to be a destination as the years go on."
Du Lac Crew Fest is a two-day event. Along with riding events and the Slopestyle competition, there is food and music for people to enjoy.
The event wraps up Sunday.
